Microsoft's Customer Improvement Program

By default, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 2008 will 'phone home' to Microsoft on a regular basis and in order to do that the operating system (for some reason) needs to logoff the current console user. This can be very troublesome for servers that require being logged on with a certain set of user credentials at all times to ensure that a foreground application be running. This 'feature' can be disabled using a group policy detailed in this article:
