Mozilla v Microsoft = We are the victims
I discovered my flash-based menu on this web site did not work on Firefox. Turns out that when placing objects onto a page, Mozilla based browsers have to use a tag called 'embed' instead of 'param'. This is interesting to me since the use of 'embed' is not allowed XHTML 1.0 Transitional which has been the web standard since 2002. So much for all those people claiming the Firefox is more strictly compliant than Microsoft's browsers. The fact is, my Flash object has a Microsoft registered CLASSID and that's why Firefox insists on the 'embed' tag so once again we are in the middle of a pissing match between Microsoft and Mozilla.
