Boot Camp install hung on installing Realtek Audio Drivers

Yes, it's a bug. Solution:


  • Leave the process hung.
  • Go to the Boot Camp folder\Drivers\RealTek and double-click the RealTekSetup executable.
  • The RealTek drivers will now install
  • DO NOT let the wizard restart the computer, select 'Restart later'
  • Open TaskManager
  • Find the RealTek installer in the task list and kill it
The BootCamp installer will now continue with its tasks.
